Construction Games
Reach to the skies and build towards infinity, with simple supplies. Build an object to acheive a goal, fil a space, or just build as high as you can possible dare. These are great, and they don't seem to get old for reasons unknown even to myself.
The Fantastic Contraption
This game is awesome. You must build a device using the components given to you (wooden bars, transparent bars, clockwise spinning wheels, counter-clockwise spinning wheels, and push wheels) that slings, throws, rolls, shoots, or otherwise moves the red ball or other shape from the construction zone to the red goal zone. In each level there is a great many obstacles and distances to overcome, and also on some you can view the thousands of other contraptions that others have made. You'll be amazed by what you can find and build. If you like it enough you can submit your own creations for a fee of $10, which I am sorry to say I cannot. 5 out of 5. -Play-
FWG (Free World Group) Bridge
In this game you must build a structurally sound bridge to get the really wierd-looking things across the chasm safely. You have a limited amount of cash, which can be effectively removed by playing with sandbox mode, and the only support your bridge can get is from the little mounds and pillars in the gorge. The second one brings a larger array of ominous chasms, including a second type of building material stronger than the other, and more creatures, like people on Segways. You can also save and load past bridges. 4 out of 5. -Play- -Play 2-
The Junkyard
In this game you must proceed through each level by doing three actions: stacking an amount of jumk into a wobbling tower by timing the swing of the crane to pick up junk (mostly cars and recycled appliances) and then timing the jittery movements of the crane above the compactor where you must drop it into a well organized tower/unbalanced heap. Then you just time the faulty power gauge to max power compact your tower into a cube. They really need to fix their equipment in this place. So if you haven't figured it out yet, this game is largely based on timing. Sure it may seem impossible at first, and it may be impossible at first, but very slowly you'll start to get the hang of it. 4 out of 5. -Play-
Insurgo
In this game you must build a behemoth tower to reach new heights. This is funner than it might seem, as at the top you find yourself desperately trying to correct your balance, your tower beginning to shape itself oddly. The soundtracks are very cool, and I liked the game very much. This is a game reminiscint of world of goo, although the iron bars don't talk and the tower is not made of living, squirming goo balls. 4 out of 5. -Play-
